This is a rare 1955 Ford Stepvan body which has been mounted on a 1986 c20 chassis. It is in excellent running shape with a low miles 350 and automatic transmission, auxiliary radiator fan, power steering, new battery, new starter, power brakes, stereo, 2 new captain chairs (only drivers installed) and 3/4 ton running gear. Tires are 14 ply with almost no miles on them, new porta-wall white walls, and new baby moon hubcaps. Brakes recently inspected and are in good condition although sometimes squeaky at slow speeds. Starts and idles perfectly with no hesitation and tons of power. Epdm rubber roof coating. Aluminum body in exceptional shape for its age but does have blemishes. The worst is a bent rear bumper and quarter size rust spot on headlight bezel. No other rust spots detected. The interior is insulated with 1 foam and original racks still in place. Engine dog house is constructed of steel and insulated. Vintage working heater.This has been an excellent shop truck for me but my plans have changed. The original builder did an excellent job on reinforcing cab to chassis. All mechanical fabrication is complete and drives nicely up and down the freeway. Current and clear california registered as 1955 stepvan. The potential of this vehicle is endless and I have never seen one in this great original condition. Specialty plates, Dali clock, signs not included but all can be. I can carve signs and can do your logo for a nominal fee. Feel free to come check it out before bidding. Serious bidders only please. Cons:
Temperature is the only gauge hooked up. I do have the original cluster from donor vehicle.
Small oil leak
Only drivers windshield wiper is hooked up.
Primer paint job is streaky
Sliding door rattles and needs new rubber gaskets
