After 13 years, I am finally going to sell my old IH rollback wrecker. Reason for selling: I bought an enclosed car trailer.
This truck has been extremely reliable while I have owned it and I expect it will be the same for a new owner. However, it is sold without warranty, expressed or implied, because while it has been well maintained, it is 49 years old.
Prospective buyers are invited to compare this old truck and its price with the five-and-six-figure prices being asked for newer trucks of similar description and purpose.
The Good Stuff 345 engine starts right up and runs like a watch.4-speed transmission with 2-speed axle--works as it should.Will run on the highway all day at 50 mph. Faster than that seems a strain.Hydraulic rollback bed and winch, both of which work fiine. (Winch is VERY stout!) Bed measures 8" X 22" with a 2" flip-up tail piece.It will haul about anything you want to haul.Tires look decent to good. One has a bit of cracking on the sidewall.Bed surface is steel plate in good condition.It has a hydraulic brake lock for short-term parking.It has power steering and power brakes (Hydrovac). Booster was new about three years ago.Wipers, lights, horn, etc., are all in working condition.Truck has been serviced regularly during my ownership.Seat reupholstered and foam rubber added--pretty cushy.Clear title in my name.Yes, you can drive it home. Could Use Some Help Dash gauges work sporadically; sometimes read low, sometimes ok. I"ve been told this is a bad relay.)Original IH radio (AM) works when it feels like it.Not a lot of rust, but there is some.Cab could use a repaint.Please don"t expect perfection. This is not a concours winner, but it is very useful for hauling a lot of things. The past several years it has been used as a parade vehicle. (The granny gear in low axle is about perfect for following the marching band.)

I am not testing the market. This truck is actually for sale. I am not in a financial bind and I do not have to sell this truck. I am not interested in trades. Scammers, don"t bother. I"m an old-timer and have seen them all.
The successful bidder must provide a deposit of $1000 within 7 days. I will accept a wire transfer from your bank to mine, but I prefer to deal in cash on pickup. Ideally, the buyer will come after the truck within 7 days and bring cash. No form of payment other than cash or verified wire transfer will be accepted. No checks of any kind. No PayPal.
