This is a 1974 FORD F-8000 FIRE TRUCK. THE UNIT HAS BEEN KEPT AND CARED FOR INSIDE A CLIMATE CONTROLLED WAREHOUSE. THE TRUCK HAS A 390 CUBIC INCH GAS ENGINE. THE TRANSMISSION IS A 4 SPEED MANUAL. JOHN BEAN 1,000 GALLON PER MINUTE PUMP. THE PUMP WAS REPRESENTED TO US AS WORKING; I PERSONALLY HAVE NEVER TRIED IT. GOOD, SOLID, 3RD OWNER SOUTHERN TRUCK. THERE IS SOME SURFACE RUST, MINOR CORROSION. THE TRUCK STARTS, RUNS, STEERS AND DRIVES WELL. I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK WITH THE INTENTION OF RESTORING IT; HOWEVER I NEVER HAD THE TIME. WE ARE READY TO SEND HER TO A NEW HOME. THIS TRUCK IS PERFECT FOR THE COLLECTOR ENTHUSIAST! THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN KEPT INSIDE AND PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS. TIRES ARE IN FAIR SHAPE. INTERIOR AND GLASS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. Two NEW batteries installed 11/24/15. RIGHT IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS, PERFECT GIFT FOR THE FIRE TRUCK LOVER!
