Regretfully putting my 79 Pete up for sale. I purchased this truck up in Connecticut a few years ago with the intentions of making it into a show and race truck and occasionally taking it to church on Sunday.. Truck is originally from California and it seems the motor was replaced at some point with the updated silver series. This truck is powered by 8 V 92 supercharged and turbocharged V8 Detroit Diesel. They were Factory rated at 445 horsepower supposedly this was turned up slightly. I have no service or overhaul paperwork. Backed by a 13 speed. Overdrive needs to be connected . Air ride rears. Truck has a heavy single steel frame with aluminum cross members. I"ve invested over $20,000 for the pipes, Chrome, lights and some fabrication. I replaced all the filters. Truck has no power steering from the factory. It runs good, drives good, smokes and leaks oil. Just the way I like it.. still has a PTO on it, but I removed the lines, tank, glad hands and electrical for the trailer.Truck could still use some TLC and minor odds and ends. I prefer a local sale because I rather have the interested parties look it over in person.. I have the original California title in hand along with the data plate. Not sure what it would take to get it registered.
