upgrading to new truck. we have a 1988 gmc c7000 with a 21ft danco bed with wheel lift. this truck has the 8.2 Detroit turbo diesel (fuel pincher) great on fuel. eaton 6 speed transmission 4:30 rear axle ratio 4 wheel hydraulic disc brakes. has a/c but is non working heat works good. about 75 mph top speed. truck starts every time no matter what. batterys replaced few years ago. i have owned this truck for the last 10 years and it owes me nothing but now is needing some repairs. the clutch is on its last leg, will still drive but wouldn"t push it with towing cars until repaired. one of the universal joints is starting to show its age and should be serviced. the drivers cab floor is rotted and the cab mount needs repair. needs parking brake shoes replaced. brakes all good stops on a dime. tires decent. this is a 26000 gvw truck that was over built with 33k springs it can haul a lot of heavy trucks no problem. the truck is for sale locally as well and i reserve the right to end the auction early.
