1997 GMC Bucket / Boom Forestry Truck with Altec LR-IV (4) booms with Southco chip body / dump.
This older forestry truck starts right up and runs and drives great. The bones of this truck are super solid. I talked to previous owner, and he said they had replaced engine and transmission recently, and it runs great, so I have no reason to doubt him; however I have no paperwork to back this up either. I did drive the truck - the engine, transmission, rear end, brakes, clutch all work great, and everything felt like it should. With that said, this is an older truck and it will need a little bit of TLC - all cosmetic and minor maintenance. As you can see in the pictures, the interior is a little rough.
The Altec 55" WH booms all work flawlessly. Controls were a little sticky from sitting, but everything functioned like it should with no whining nor complaining. There are lower controls at turret, and joystick controls up top. All function properly, even tool circuit. Right now it runs off PTO from transmission only; however there is a pony motor in place that looks to be complete but currently not functioning.
This truck is equipped with a pintle hitch and six-pin light connector. Has plenty of toolboxes for storage. Tires are all passable, varying from 30 - 70% tread remaining.

You can also fly in and pick this item up yourself and drive it away. Fly to Des Moines, (DSM), we will pick you up at the airport, and you can drive it home right from Des Moines, IA.
If you are an Iowa resident, you must take delivery at our location. License fees and taxes will also be collected from Iowa residents at time of delivery at out location; out-of-state buyers will pay license fees in their own state.
