This is a 1997 International DT466 Car Hauler in excellent condition with a Rebuilt Engine, This truck belongs to a family member, he purchased it to put to work and was unable to find a responsible driver for it so he decided to sell it. I checked out the truck myself and the following are my finding. I am not very familiar with tow trucks but if you have any questions I will try my best to answer them to the best of my knowledge.
ENGINE:The engine is an International DT466 with a 7speed manual transmission, the engine was completely rebuilt less than 1 year ago. Last month the truck was driven to and from Orlando to Miami and worked perfectly. The A/C blows ice cold as well. The transmission shifts as it should, the clutch is solid and engages perfectly. There are no leaks nor noises coming from the engine compartment. The PTO works great too, He recently replaced the winch on the top loader.
Exterior:This truck has been in South Florida from day 1 and has never seen any snow, so there is absolutely no signs of rust anywhere on the truck. All tires are matching and have over 70% thread life on them. The paint is in good shape, however it was repainted at one point don"t know when,
Interior: The interior looks good, a new wood steering wheel was installed, all gauges are in working order, comes with A/M and F/M aftermarket radio. Has manual window, the PTO is controlled from inside the cab.
FLATBED:The flatbed works great to, I didn"t see any signs of leads on any of the hoses, however I don"t have much experience operating the flatbed, has controls on both sides of the flatbed an both operate as they should.
