1998 Freightliner FL60 with the legendary 5.9 Cummins and very reliable 7 speed eaton manual tranny, Previous owner told me the engine has recent overhaul and tranny was gone thru also. Engine starts and runs great and the tranny feels right. The 7 speed Eaton is supposed to be a very durable transmission, almost indestructible. A previous employee of the Eaton plant said the tranny is the base for all others and would hold up to all the horsepower the 5.9 will every give it. The sleeper has been sealed and repainted, front and rear ac that blows cold. Truck runs and drives great. New tires, good brakes, air bags on rear, 5th wheel and gooseneck hitches, pintle and drop receiver on rear. Took it on trip thru Arkansas a few weeks ago picking up tractors. I have decided to go back to a one ton pick up. Make and offer... needs to go I have already bought a replacement truck.
