Owner of the fleet took very ill and now forced to sell, last inspection CDOT / FMCSA 2015 (All previous inspections passed). There are 5 more trucks left in the fleet...not sure if they are for sale or not.I am a friend to the owner (Stand-Up OLD SCHOOL) and trusted seller on however...not a towing expert so feel free to ask questions, TEST ANYTHING / EVERYTHING and if reasonable, I may be able to take video at my discretion and I will be happy to meet with you or your agent/rep here in Montrose for manual inspection and testing.
Truck has been sitting for 2 years, we installed 2 brand new batteries and she fired right off, everything prior to 2018 was working/functioning as intended, the owner/builder of the fleet took VERY GOOD care and can provide all SERVICE RECORDS. When I informed him that my reputation as a trusted seller on is always at stake and really need to know what is in need of repair. .Nothing was his reply, even after redundant requests. .he stead fast!
This truck was removed from a WORKING ENVIRONMENT when retired from any kind of service two years ago. So it may need a fluid check, maintenance check, A/C check etc. but she Does PURR LIKE A KITTEN and ROARS LIKE A LION however, as we cannot guarantee anything and it will be sold as is/where is, again. .FEEL FREE TO TEST THIS VEHICLE or ask ANY QUESTIONS. REQUIRES CDL to operate.
155k Miles on the truck, we are fairly certain that the Wrecker Body and HOLMES 600 Boom are 1979, Mechanical Boom, electric/hydraulic under-reach. The Booms swivel for Side Pulling.
I am not sure if the Class 7 is correct or not, my knowledge steered my towards Medium Duty 12 Tons (?) as a Holmes 500 is a ten ton...this is HOLMES 600 so...JUST NOT SURE. We are also not sure of the Horse Power of this 5.9 12 Valve Cummins Turbo Diesel engine (L6?)...believed to be 260? Transmission is 6 Speed MANUAL w/PTO. Has A/C, Stereo, Power nothing on the interior of standard cab, Light Bar, flashing and rear work lights. The REAR TIRES are near new (295 75 22.5), Fronts believed to be 1/2 life or better. NEW BRAKES and BATTERIES.
INCLUDED: 2 J Hooks w/chain on each, 2 Scotch Blocks, 1 set of Dollies and the chains for the stabilizer jacks (as illustrated in the photos), all other items are considered personal and will be removed however, they may be negotiable (Snatch Blocks, Chains, etc.) and at this time I do not have a detailed list therefore should not be considered to be part of this transaction.
