My family bought this from a couple in Vermont in 2018. The couple had used it for a bread business in NYC and then moved Vermont. The truck had been sitting for quite some time before my family purchased it. They drove it from Vermont to New York. Sadly, it began sitting with them as well. I was looking to start a food truck business, specifically a hotdog and ice cream truck, and purchased the truck from my family in January 2019. I began doing an extensive amount of work on the truck. The following has been completed:Oil Change with New Oil FilterRepaired Oil Dipstick HousingRepaired Grommet into Engine for Oil DipstickReplaced Engine Air Intake Air FilterReplaced ground wire on Passenger Light and Changed BulbInstalled after-market led lights to improve night time high-beam visibilityRepaired Coolant LeakRepaired Oil Leak in Oil PanReplaced Front & Rear ShocksReplaced and Upgraded Rear Leaf Springs for Concession WeightReplaced Cluster bulbs in Instrument ClusterReplaced and Installed Heated MirrorsReplaced Fuel FilterRemoved old decals.Resealed RoofInstalled new wiper bladesScraped and Painted Frame to prevent rust damageInstalled new Front and Rear TiresPainted Battery Compartment and removed old swelled battery
This truck was going to be my future. I poured my heart and soul into it and I believe it"s going to be a great addition for someone who is looking for a future business. The reason I"m not continuing with the truck is because my wife got accepted into college and we need to move into an area in which this business venture will not find the success it needs. The truck has a few flaws to note:During the decal removal process, the paint has been chipped. The truck has an aluminum body, so this is more of a cosmetic issue. A new vehicle wrap was my plan to remedy this. The photo featured above is the worst area of this damage. Most of the truck looks very clean.
There are a few dents and scratches throughout the truck typical of a Van this age. There is an access panel in the floor in the cab to access the fuel pump that the previous owners replaced. (Picture above)
The fuel gauge will stick intermittently when at idle. It has been improving after I added fuel stabilizer. The ABS light comes on and off intermittently. I believe this is a ground issue, but have not traced the problem out myself. The brakes have been working completely fine with no issues. There is a rust spot in the floor of the cab near the entrance door. (Picture Above)The seal around the driver"s window has come loose. I do not see any leaking from this issue and it seems more cosmetic. There are scratches in the windshield from the previous owner"s failure to change the wipers when needed.
This truck has no A/C, Power Windows, Power Locked Doors, or other fancy amenities.

Overall, this is a solid truck and it"s going to be a great addition to start a business. I"ve tried to remain completely transparent so you can make an informed decision. I"m not trying to make a bunch of money on this. I simply want to recover my expenses and successfully move. It runs great and has yet to let me down. In March, it passed a NYS inspection and has been driven around when various chores needed to be completed. I do on occasion drive the truck, so please ask for updated mileage if you are worried about a little extra miles being added since the original post date. I"m selling this truck As Is. Please let me know if you have any questions. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. I truly believe this truck will help someone accomplish the dream that I had to walk away from. Thank you for considering my ad and please don"t hesitate to ask me any questions.
Finally: Please do not ask for my telephone number or other personal contact information. I"m happy to answer any questions through EBay messenger for both of our protections. Thank you.
