2003 Freightliner FL60, Crew Cab, 8.3 ISC 315 Cummins, 6 speed Allison automatic transmission. Air ride seats, air ride cab, air ride rear suspension. We built this truck to haul the trailer. It was a long wheelbase truck with a box. We removed the box and shortened it and had the fifth wheel hitch, goose neck ball and rear hitch plate installed. The truck itself is under CDL. It has hydraulic disc brakes with air parking brake. Back up camera with 7 color monitor. Am/Fm CD player. All wired with a standard trailer connector with the prodigy adjustable brake control that can work with up to 4 axles. I have 2 more air ride seats for the rear and also a bed with new mattress that was only used once. Truck has about 510,000 miles. Engine was replaced with a re-manufactured long block at about 280,000. Speedometer reads around 70,000 as it was replaced with a new zero mile speedo when it stopped working. This truck was fleet owned and maintained with serviced every 5,000 miles with Rotella oil and wix filters. We purchased from the original owner when they upgraded the fleet. I have towed a variety of trailers from the 4 car to a single car up and down the East Coast and locally, with no issues. There"s not a trailer out there that has electric brakes that you can"t tow with this thing. Plenty of power and cruises down the highway loaded or empty. Way better than any one ton dually. I could go on and on about this truck but it"s better you come look at it yourself. Clean title in hand. The truck gvw is under 26,000 and does not require a CDL license, however, as soon as you connect the trailer, the combination will require CDL A class license.
Trailer
1987 Drake 4 car transport trailer. Everything works as it should. Older trailer but very solid construction. One car under the upper deck in the belly and 3 on the upper deck. Hydraulic landing gear works as it should. Battery is new in the last year and a half and trailer is wired to charge battery from truck while plugged in. Has electric winch on the top deck. Slide out ramps, all LED lighting. 8 New tires, all new brakes and wheel bearings in the last 15,000 miles. 20,000 gvw. All the chains and cluster hooks are in good shape and work like they should. Has D rings for strapping lower deck car on. Bought the trailer out of Florida. It"s previous life was in Texas. Didn"t run it in the winter here in NH so still never seen salt. It"s ready to go and still in service when needed. Just don"t have the need for a 4 car very often. Previous owner was pulling it with a one ton dodge Cummins truck. I have pulled it with a one ton, but it pulls much nicer with the Freightliner. We searched this trailer out as the stuff that is being built to pull behind one ton trucks today just doesn"t seem to be built very rugged. This is a rugged trailer. This trailer is 30 years old and still in great shape. It could use a coat of paint, but I will let the new owner do that so they can see that I am not covering anything up!! Come look. Its a very nice set up but we just don"t have the need for it like we did when we put it together. I would consider trade for a nice medium duty single car carrier of equal value but that is the only thing I am interested in.
