For sale, we have a 2005 GMC Topkick C5500 garbage truck, with an 8 yard New Way rearload packer, with cart tipper. The truck is in outstanding physical condition, and runs and rides like a brand new truck! The truck has a GVW of 19,500lbs so there is no need for a CDL. Comes with 300hp Duramax Diesel motor that runs perfect! No spits, sputters, smoke...nothing. Runs like a new one. Transmission is a 5 speed automatic ALLISON that you cant even feel when it shifts, its so smooth. Has an electronic shift PTO attached with an in-dash high idle toggle for packing garbage. Heavy rear spring suspension, with disc brakes. Buyer WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! This is a beautiful truck that runs like a dream!
Known Issues:
-If you zoom in real close, you can see a small 2 crack in the fiberglass fender on the passenger side (see red arrow in picture)
-The center console/arm rest lid has a broken hinge, so if its in the upright position, and you hit a bump, sometimes it falls off
-The paddle sweep has a very slight bend to it, so the middle of the paddle scrapes the weld of the hopper when packing garbage. After it extends fully out, you have to back it up a half an inch, and then sweep.
-Small specks of surface rust (if you can even call it that) where paint has chipped on packer
