This is a public agency owned 2007 Chevrolet 3500 4X4 dual rear wheels service truck with 158,912 miles. It is equipped with a 6.0 Vortec FI V8 engine, 4 speed automatic transmission, cruise control, AM/FM radio, tilt wheel, A/C, Scelzi SBD-108-89-38-V service body (approximately 9’ long X 89” wide), add on tool tray in driver’s side rear compartment of service body is damaged (see pictures), receiver hitch, removable mechanical out- rigger for use with crane, 1993 Liftmore L22 crane (crane has also been installed on a previous truck), ladder rack and vise with mount (vise is used and worn). Tires are worn and in need of replacement, no spare tire. Interior and paint has normal wear and blemishes including worn and cracked upholstery, logo removal on both doors and nicks, dings and scratches on cab and service body associated with a fleet vehicle of this age, screw holes in tunnel where communication radio was removed, communication radio antenna is still mounted on top of cab and plugs in roof where beacon light was removed, (communication radio and beacon light are not included) . At times the vehicle has a distinct knock when running, technician is unable to diagnose the problem, however believes it is within the engine or the starter bendix may be hanging up at times, muffler should be replaced soon, front CV boots leak and trailer plug cover is cracked. A California smog certificate is provided with the vehicle. License plates have been removed and buyer is responsible to obtain any and all permits required to move the vehicle. The vehicle is sold “As Is”, “Where Is” with “No Warranty” what so ever.
Please do not bid if you cannot meet the following requirements. Payment for the vehicle must be received in full by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 (or when the vehicle is picked up, whichever is earlier) at our office in Fresno, California in the form of a cashier’s check. The buyer must arrange and pay for shipping. The vehicle must be removed from the District’s yard in Fresno, California within 14 days of close of auction. The office is open Mon. through Fri. between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM PST and will be closed November 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
Since the vehicle is owned by a public agency, the auction must run it’s full term and offers to end the auction early will not be considered. The reserve price has been set at $3,500.
