2009 Duramax Diesel Ambulance/Camper Conversion. Brand New Re-Manufactured Transmission with 2 Years Transferable Warranty Remaining (details in pics) This is the ultimate vehicle to convert into a camper or go travel in. The units are insulated, constructed with aluminum square tubing (you can walk on the roof) and a key fob controls all compartment and door locks which are are illuminated by lights when opened. Two alternators are stock for these units therefore there is lots of battery/charging capability. heavy duty doors and hinges, dual weather stripping, and shock absorbers come complete on compartment doors. the quality of these ambulance bodies supersedes all travel trailers and basically makes them look like cheap pos. :)
It needs little to nothing, the engine oil has been changed religiously since i have owned it, low km or mileage for a Duramax, and a new re-manned transmission with two years owner transferable warranty. it is a very capable, comfortable vehicle to drive and saves a lot of hotel/motel bills. The wooden bed frame also folds up and tucks away into factory bench seat with three seat belts. the electrical compartment has ease of access for any future maintenance/modifications but currently the flashing lights and siren are decommissioned. this unit could also be reverted back to service as an ambulance/first aid unit as little to nothing has been removed or modified other than the rear facing seat.
NOTE: All oxygen and Medi-vac hook-ups are still intact
Follow the link here to the website to see the detail and construction process that goes into building these.
