Used PL Custom Chevy 4500 ambulance. This unit is a Cadillac of ambulances.

This unit comes from a VFD in Maryland. It was purchased in a multiple ambulance package and was the only Chevy 4500 in the group. Our service has purchased over 10 units from this VFD and we have been extremely impressed with all their ambulances. Our service does not need this unit at this time and our fleet is of the Ford E-Series.
Vehicle drove from Maryland to Indiana without any mechanical issues. The only option that I see this ambulance is missing is an inverter. The unit does have a battery tender attached to the shore line, but the unit does not provide AC power away from shore line.

| “This is a very clean ambulance. Would rate paint 8/10. There are some hard water spots on glass and paint. Unit needs a good waxing. Tires are 50% and comes with a spare. Brand new chrome wheel sims. Interior is 8/10. All lights are working properly, A/C blows cold, and air-pump works for the air horns and snow chains. There are a few wear items in the front cab. The driver seat has some wrinkling in the fake leather. There is a dash switch that has heavy scratches from the mounted computer rubbing dash.Overall this is a fantastic ambulance. Seems to be in good mechanical condition, our mechanic has went through the unit and has not found any major issues.” |
