This auction is for a used 2009 Ford E series cut-way type III MedTec ambulance that is being listed by the Ambulance agency who is the one owner. The ambulance was recently retired after simply being replaced as part of the company rotation policy. It was ordered and specified new by the ambulance agency, and though it has just over 200,000 miles, it was strict-fully and carefully maintained throughout its life with records available. Less than 10,000 miles ago, the 6.0 liter engine was replaced with a fully remanufactured Jasper long block, 8 new fuel injectors and the EGR was deleted. This had a cost of just over $10,000.00. The EGR cooler is the bullet proof brand name. The engine also received a mild computer tune. The engine runs very strong as it should and the transmission shifts normally. As many have encountered the issues with the Ford 6.0, we did too and spent several thousands of dollars making this truck reliable and consistent for our staff and patients. The vehicle has been serviced and has multiple new parts including upper and lower front ball joints on the right, new front end alignment, new batteries, Alternators, AC compressor and much more. The interior and exterior do show signs of wear, including aluminum corrosion on the box, but overall, the condition and cosmetics are good. The ambulance was inservice and inspected by the PA. Dept of Health up to the day it was pulled off line. Its was also current on inspection by the State DMV. The yellow stripes on the vehicle are vinyl graphics that can be removed to make the ambulance completely white and easily adaptable to your company requirements. All Agency logos have been removed. This vehicle could be placed back into service or used for other utility purposes or a valuable engine donor! Tires are decent and have many miles left on them. The only current known item that requires attention is the low pressure AC line from the Ford Chassis that attaches to the ambulance module. The refrigerant was low and we found this problem right as the truck was being pulled from service so this was not repaired. The medical inverter and radios has been removed.
