These 6x6 Kaisers are highly sought after work horses that can be re-purposed to support a variety of mission requirements. I"ve got a very nice 1990 Kaiser M35A2 6x6 2.5 ton (Type-3, 4 or 5) Wildland Engine. Low miles & hours (9,299 miles) (373 hrs), she’s the real deal! The truck was custom refurbished and was re-titled in July 1990 by a company named Trees & Brumfield in Montana for a local fire district. The fire district owned and meticulously maintained the Kaiser from the time of its wildland conversion to its surplus late last year. 6 wheel drive, she will go anywhere you want! The trucks got refurbished stamps on the chassis and engine that are dated (7-90 on the chassis) and (5-90 on the LDT 465 7.8L Continental engine). It’s a Turbocharged, fuel injected multi-fuel engine, currently running on Diesel, (will run on bio diesel, filtered cooking oil, gasoline and kerosene) custom chrome exhaust stack, air compressor, 5 speed manual transmission, 2 speed transfer case, 6 wheel drive, 20 military traction tires with 60% tread remaining, 20 spare mounted under bed on the drivers side. newer 2016 batteries (12V x 2) , 24V electrical system with 12 Volt in cab power inverter, air assisted hydraulic brakes, heavy duty front bumper, PTO connections on the front axle and rear axle to power accessories, grill guard, rear pintle hitch, 50 gallon fuel tank with a new electric lift pump, an engine compartment mounted radiator heat exchanger to provide heat into the cab. The glass is all great, both windows roll down and up, the windshields pivot outward at the bottom, air operated wipers. A 14" air hose, air chuck with a quick connection to tie into the trucks onboard air system is included. Red Emergency light (the power has been disable per ebay policy). Stock bench seat with seating for 3, manual windows, no AC. 18hp Briggs & Stratton engine, 150gpm Hale 20FD B42 fire pump, electric hose reel, 100’ of redline/booster hose, manual tank to pump primer, 700 hours on the fire pump hour meter. 750 gallon fiberglass water tank, pump & roll capable. set up to carry (3) 10" sections of 2.5 drafting hose, the truck has dual custom built compartments on the Drivers and Officers side of the vehicle for tools and equipment storage. The unit is in very nice overall condition and is fully operational. It was just driven home 800 miles with no issues. Top highway speed between 58-60 mph. With local fire resource getting stretched to the breaking point, this is a great insurance policy for personal property fire protection, dust abatement, water delivery or just getting to that challenging location.
