Located in Mississippi, this unit belonged to a local City – Water & Sewer Board that purchased it new on a truck and started towing its own units, after just a short while they decided it was smarter to just contract the towing out, at that time the truck chassis was removed from the body and used in another application. The body has sat idle for several years not being used, it was not in service and used much after it was bought new, you can tell it was never used all day every day as a towing and recovery service may do, was used from time to time then taken off and not used at all. You are buying exactly what you see, the body with the components you see in and on it, everything is complete except a pto pump which would be for the truck chassis you plan to put under the body, everything else is complete and unit was 100% operational with no problems or issues when removed from the truck. It has some paint chipping/fading, has several dings/scratches basically from where one side of it was sitting in a traffic area – look at the other side and you don’t see any of that – stating that because it was not from use, it has one spot where the city emblem was painted over with black spray paint, has a few surface rust – very light surface rust only – spots where bare metal is showing with no paint and/or underneath. Unit could stand some new paint or at least some touching up, a good servicing since it has sat not being used for some time and of course a good cab & chassis to slide under it with a PTO, as stated body was 100% operational when it was taken out of service and is not wore out by any means, seems to have plenty of life left in it!
