Here"s a nice van, low milage, good condition. Does not have AC. Has 350 V8 w automatic. Has the passageway between the front seats for easy access to the rear of the van. 20"-9 overall length, 11 feet overall high, box is 8" wide and 8" tall, 14" deep. Has a loading ramp, but no lift gate or trailer hitch.
Was sold new to a furniture store in Paso Robles, CA - a warm and dry inland area, thus it is virtually rust-free. The next owner was a painting contractor, who also kept it mostly parked and put few miles on it.
It was used for local deliveries, and well maintained.
It was once stolen and recovered, hence the salvage title. Never crashed, but it did get a new windshield and a new ignition switch.
I put new seats in, they are GMC factory seats taken out of a 2017 Chevrolet van.
I put in a new Kenwood car stereo radio, with a USB jack for charging my phone.
Even though it has always run cool and never overheated on me, I noticed the water pump had a very slight leak out of its weep hole, so I put in a new water pump, backflushed the radiatior, and replaced the hoses and belts. Just had the brakes inspected and bled, discs in front and drums in rear, both have about 60% wear left.
Stock this came with 16.5 wheels, but I changed it to 16 wheels with 215/85 R16 tires- much easier and cheaper to find tires! Front tires are good, with about 50% of tread life left. Inner rears have about 10% and outer rears about 20%.
All lights work as they should. Shifts and drives fine. Not fast up hills (45 or 50) but will cruize at 60 to 65 mph easily and likes to go 70 on the downhill sections.
The cab door locks work, and I put new latch handles on the vent windows so they lock up securely. The rear lift gate has a padlock, and it has one row of windows. On the passenger side, there is a tinted, tempered glass window in the box that allows the driver to see out that way, a nice feature! The floor of the box is hardwood planks. They have some paint rings on them, and the floor is covered with a nice piece of commercial carpet (which is removable) Has a new battery, but the hold down clamp is missing. Heater/defroster works fine.
If you had some shipment to pick up from somewhere in CA between SF and LA - to some distant place, you could buy this van, do your trip, and re-sell it somewhere where they appreciate dry rust free CA vehicles!
It does drip a small amount of oil. The valve cover gaskets and the oil pan gasket would be something easy to renew if you wanted.
Would make a great mechanic"s or carpenter"s mobile service van, a painter"s van, a moving van (a ramp is included),or even a camper or the start of a tiny house build!
