1999 FREIGHTLINER FL-70 CAB & CHASSIS Turbocharged 6-Cyl CNG motor with 250 horsepower, 6-spd manual trans, air brakes, and A/C. This is a Cummins Diesel Engine that was redone from factory to be a CNG gas engine. It does not run on diesel or CNG. It is CNG only. There are no injectors or injection pump on these type motors. Just wanted to make sure everyone knows what they are bidding on.
This truck was owned by James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va and was set up new with a box van and a power rear lift gate. The bed was removed before we purchased it but we got the lift gate. The truck was purchased new by JMU and was very lightly used around campus and only has 6,000 actual miles, It has all 6 aluminum rims, and the tires were updated in 2010 and still look new. The truck is very clean inside and out with only a couple of minor cosmetic blemishes (see pictures) If you want a like new truck that is CNG powered this one would be hard to beat.
This would make a nice low mileage chassis for a Rollback, dump truck, flatbed or put another van box back on and reuse the lift gate.
It is very rare to find a truck this nice with only 6,000 actual miles, Plus if you need the cleanest emission truck possible for indoor use the CNG is the best.
