This entire unit is like new . The engine, transmission, brakes, lift, auxiliary power unit all operate perfectly. It drives down the road at 50 MPH and accelerates like a motorcycle. All maintenance has been regularly performed and all fluids are in new condition.
We drove this from Anchorage and it performed excellently in all aspects, just as was one expect from a new vehicle with only 6,700 miles on all components.
This vehicle is completely mobile and with the 6 wheel drive option it will go many places that the more conventional lifts will not and there is no need for delivery or pickup arrangement/expenses. The outriggers are located so as to provide a lateral spread of 20.5 feet and a longitudinal spread of 25 feet, which gives a margin of safety that other lifts cannot.
This vehicle does NOT require wide load permits or pilot cars that add to operating expenses and logistical complications. The two rear axles weigh in at 35,800 pounds, which is under the 38,000 pound, 100% weight restriction for Alaska seasonal weight restrictions for two axle vehicles.
This system costs $450,000.00 new (In 1995 dollars!) and costs $950,000 now!
This is a well engineered, excellently maintained, heavy duty vehicle. It could be used in the construction industry for lifting building materials to difficult positions, for inspecting wind turbine blades, in painting or accessing towers, working on power transmission lines, working on signs and a multitude of other uses.
I am asking $109,000 for this equipment, about the price of two new fancy pickups. When your business calculates the tax depreciation for this vehicle and the money saved from renting, it will pay for itself in less than one seasons work (less versatile equipment rents for ~$25,000 a month, or $1,650 for daily rentals so this unit would be paid off in less than six months of renting and you get the tax depreciation as well!)
