Captain Nemo Trolley Cart 1990 ex-Richmond City, CA MeterMaid Haulster, 3 cylinder daihatsu gas motor fully serviced and tuned up fluids, points and plugs including new timing belt and rebuilt carburetor and vacuum advance unit. Runs perfect.
New shocks, new battery and battery tender. Fiberglass cab has been replaced with custom welded steel and hardwood curved top trolley cab with 1/4 polycarbonate windscreens. Fold-out mirrors. Widened seat with new upholstery and seatbelt for two people, functioning lights, signals and gauges. Hardwood body stained matte black and sealed, mounted with thru carriage bolts to welded steel cab frame. All sheet metal is antiqued cast iron faux finish with faux rivets. Front hatch opens for access to gauges, wiring harness and original NOS ahooga horn. Lockable functioning rear storage box measures 34 x 46 x 13 tall...almost 17 cubic feet available for camping/picnic/cooler/bbq grill, party supplies, etc.
Red passenger side gate on right side lifts out for access via custom step to (illegal but perfect for parades) seating on the front of the box. Brass grab handles are mounted to the rear of the cab for passenger convenience.
Undoing four easily accessible bolts allows the rear box to be removed completely giving you the opportunityto install bench seats or create a stakeside flat bed.
Laser cut steel letters are Captain Nemo"s slogan, latin for Moving in a moving thing
Several rare nautical artifacts incorporated including bronze ocean liner porthole and functioning nickel plated 1916 Conaphore spotlight. An antique trolley bell is mounted to interior cab roof.
