    * *LAST CHANCE, for the last few hours of the listing I have drastically lowered the price!, if you want it buy it!* ** **** PRICE IS FIRM!!!!!!!!!
Really Cool Truck! only 18,000 original miles on the truck! Im the 3rd owner of it..(1st was an airport, and 2nd was the fire dept)
Believe it or not, this truck was actually still being used by the firedept up until fall 2014,,,,,they got a new firetruck and let this one go. .They used it for taking water to fires that were in fields, or off road to brush /pasture fires and such...
It is a 1968, and I"ve driven several antique/older trucks, BUT this truck actually drives really good compared them, ( I was surprised)
It has power steering and a few years ago, the original gas engine was professionally replaced with a Cat 3208 Diesel AND Allison Automatic transmission!!!!!
Notice it has tandem rear axles! (most firetrucks just have a single rear axle) you can lock both axles in making it 4x4... it has all terrain heavy duty military tires on it.
The fire dept, took their hose and siren off the truck. it still has the water tank...2500 gallons (it may be 3000 I forget), it still has the pump on it, and all kinds of tool boxes an storage areas...
I bought the truck with intentions of one day taking the tank off and using it to store water in an pump it to garden an animals, but mainly I wanted to put a flatbed on the back of the truck to haul a dozer on the back...(this truck is set up to handle ALOT OF WEIGHT!) It does have a pintle hitch on the back for pulling a pintle trailer
The front end is still nice an tight, the suspension is good an strong.
Mechanically the truck is VERY SOUND, and Dependable, it starts VERY EASY, the engine sounds perfect and very strong, transmission shifts smooth, the odometer works, and it literally only has 18,000 miles on the truck. .(it was a firetruck at an airport before it became a fire truck for the county so it hardly drove anywhere, and then it was only used by a small volunteer fire dept)
Do not let the year scare you away, the engine an transmission work just the same as in a new truck, Its hard to find a truck this good an dependable anywhere near this price...This truck is NOT WORN OUT...it is just older. .
There is NO LEAKS OR SEAPS, it can sit for weeks, and there will be no spots under it, You can just tell by looking it over its in great shape. .There is ZERO RUST on the truck. .Breaks work great. this would be a great truck, if your a prepper or want an EMP proof vehicle this would be it, theres no electronics on it to mess up.
It would also be great to haul water to offgrid homes out west, or to cattle during a drought... you could even haul a trailer behind it with another tank of water to haul twice as much.
The different uses for this truck is endless...
Now because this is ebay and I want to make sure I advertise it correctly, ill tell you the negative things about it.
1-it has cracks in lower part of windshield, pass window is cracked, driver window is missing.
2- seat is torn on driverside, and needs a cover.
3- you could use this in parades or advertisement bc it is catchy looking, but this is NOT a fully restored SHOW Firetruck it was a fire truck that was being used until a few months ago, it has lil scuffs an scratches an a few dings on it from us
The truck is really to nice of a truck to be parted out, it needs to go somewhere to be used, I don"t want to start selling the engine an transmission and pump an tank an tires an wheel, and scrap the rest. but Im sure it would bring more than this...
If you buy it and want to drive it home a long distance, I see no reason why it would not make the trip, ( you wont have AC or a radio to listen to, and you wont be crusing 80mph down the interstate in it, but it will go where ever you want it to..)
I"m only selling it bc I have too, we have a big loan coming due and we want to pay it off, instead of refinancing it, So I need the cash ASAP. ..Currently I"m selling everything extra that I can possibly do without for the moment and since I no longer need it to move a pintle hitch trailer, I have no use for it.
If you have questions, DO NOT MESSAGE ME! Calls Only...Call- -9Ol. .489. ..429l...(please don"t text either) (its ok to call up to midnight.)
Also this is NOT an Auction! You can own it Right Now, I know it would probably bring more money doing an Auction, but bc I need the money, I don"t want to take a chance of wasting all the time for the auction to run its course, and then the winner turn out to be a person that can"t get the money or wife says no or for some reason, doesn"t come thru on their part..So to keep that from happening, Ive put a low BUY IT NOW price, that even if you live far away, its still worth your wild to get it after the transport cost.
By the way, work is slow, I would be open to delivering it to you.(or having one of my guys do so) We can discuss what a fair delivery price would be depending on where your located. . (of course it would have to be paid for in full, before it left the farm. .no exceptions) OR your welcome to pick it up in person for free, at our farm located about 50 minutes south of Jackson Tn. Terms of sale $500 non refundable, and remaining balance paid in full with in 72hrs,. No checks, sold as-is. Thanks for reading an happy ebaying
