This 2002 Ford F450 2 wheel drive cab & chassis has had one previous owner, a major gas company fleet with an excellent maintenance program. The truck previously had a 11" enclosed utility body,that has been removed and sold. The 7.3L Turbo Diesel engine was legendary in it"s reliability,but was no longer used after 2003 because of federal emission requirements.The Ford diesel engines used from 2003 on were often troublesome,required removal of the cab to work on the engine, and worth avoiding. Nice, low mileage trucks with 7.3L Turbo diesel engines are getting harder to find and I must ante up when I find them with lots of life still in them like this one. We recondition these trucks as needed to have them in shape to be ready to work, not take home and work on, at least that"s the goal. The truck runs great, pulls good, drives well and the AC blows cold. The transmission shifts smoothly. We had the tires and wheels spin balanced when they were removed for repainting. A new chrome bumper replaced a bent one. | “This low mileage, fleet maintained truck is in excellent condition with less than normal wear and tear. On a 1-10 condition scale,probably a score of 8.The truck is virtually rust free, a little surface rust on frame, a little more on rear crossmember(see photos).I purposely did not paint the frame so that you may see how clean this 15 year old truck is.Look at photos inside frame rails. The driver's door skin at inside bottom of door had a little surface rust that was repaired and repainted. The hood was also repainted to repair a dent, original paint assumed otherwise. The truck has passed a safety inspection, front end is tight, all brakes,rotors,springs and lights are all functioning as they should and now has a new WV safety inspection sticker,after photos were taken.Engine has been serviced,( new 15W40,Oil,Fuel,and Air filters)and once your bed is added, will be ready to work. Tires are in great condition.” |
