Powered by the Mack engine these were the last of the simplest to repair and maintain and most reliable, fuel efficient trucks made. The GVW is 65,220#. Recognizable phrases in our language today are “Mack, the Greatest Name in Trucks” and “Built like a Mack Truck” or even “I feel like I have been run over by a Mack truck”.
