This Tractor and Trailer combination was the Gas Company"s Pipe Truck. This fleet is known for an exceptional maintenance program. The miles and hours appear to be real, knowing the fleet and judging from the condition of the equipment. The unit drives well, runs good, shifts well and doesn"t need any repairs that we have found in our efforts. The Rubber on tractor and trailer are in like new condition, 90% tread or better, and no recaps, all virgin tires. The DT466, Diesel Turbocharged 466 cubic inch engine is all it should be with those low miles and hours. This engine has the Bosch Mechanical Fuel Pump, NO COMPUTER and legendary reliability. This unit is exempt from ELD, Electronic Logging Device required of newer electronic trucks in certain applications. The Spicer ES70-5A 5 speed Transmission is tight and clutch feels good. Two Speed rear axle shifts as it should. I noticed that the muffler and both rear springs assemblies had been replaced recently. The hood and top of cab were repainted due to bad peeling clear coat. The National model N80, 14,000 capacity Knuckle Boom has a hydraulic winch AND Remote pendant controls making loading and unloading a one man operation. The crane had manual lever controls on each side as well. I"ve used the crane several times and everything works as it should. The safety inspection on the crane was performed to give you that ready to work peace of mind. No fear of a worn out rotation bearing, expensive. This tractor could be stretched and converted to an awesome mechanics service truck. Tractor & Trailer are being sold as a complete package, but I will consider separating.
