    Friends,
I really hate to let this one go. It"s been a great rig for me and a labor of love. However, my work and family responsibilities have changed and I no longer get to use it. This is a NO RESERVE auction. The highest bidder gets it. The opening bid is what I paid for the bare chassis. I"ve put many hours and thousands of dollars into it since then.
I built this truck to be a Swiss Army knife for my towing company. It"s got a hydraulic drag winch in the bed with a fairlead on top of the stinger column, so you can pull straight back, or to either side. The spool on the drag winch can be unlocked from either side of the truck to allow it to free wheel.
In addition to the drag winch, this truck also has a Pitman knuckle boom that will lift in excess of 8000 pounds at the first knuckle. The knuckle boom itself includes a hydraulic winch and a sheave that can be placed on the tip for construction work. This is super handy as you can work on any side of the truck and swing the load wherever you need it.
To allow for heavy winching I attached two outriggers from a cherry picker truck to the rear. They swing to point rearward, where they can be used to squat ice claws that attach to the feet of the outriggers. Additionally, they can be swung to point outward to act as an anchor point for single lane uprighting of overturned vehicles.
For towing this truck features a Zachlift Z6500 wheel lift, which I purchased new. It has a lift capacity of 6500 pounds fully retracted, and is rated to tow up to 40,000 points. I have both the wheel scoops and axle forks for this lift. Additionally, I have the wheel lift straps and a set of dollies. The truck includes a set of 3/8 tie down chains for use with the forks.
The truck has fresh traction drive recaps all the way around, and the previous owner spent the money to upgrade the truck to 22.5 Budd style wheels. I have snow chains for the front wheels, but not the rear - have never needed either set...
The truck has front and rear facing worklights, a spotlight, and red and amber strobes, as well as a big slow rotator on top of the roof. Additionally, this auction includes my wireless Towmate towing light set. It"s about a $500.00 light bar. To get people out of the way I installed two Grote stuttertone horns on the roof. To make visibility less of a problem, I installed a four camera system with one looking forward through the windshield, one looking rearward, one on the tip of the boom and one mounted to the Towmate light. The video from all four of these cameras is captured in a hard drive mounted in the dash, and displayed on a screen there as well.
To help with jump starting, this truck has quick connects front and rear and a 20 foot set of cables. I"ve attached toolboxes that are not shown in the photos to carry equipment to the scene of the tow. The truck includes a 9" Meier MH snowplow that moves snow like crazy, especially in four wheel drive.
In short, if you"re looking for a truck that will earn it"s keep in a number of ways, this is a great piece! As always, my walk away guarantee applies - if you win the auction, and the truck is not as I"ve described it here, you walk away - no harm, no foul. Feel free to give me a call if you"ve got any questions.
