Up for sale is 1 of my company vehicles, a 2001 GMC T8500 cab-over delivery truck. It has a GVWR of 53,220 lbs. but I register the vehicle at 52,000 lbs. It really has not seen much of that weight with our business. We used it for highway trips only which happened every 2 weeks so the truck has low miles. (NY to PA, MD, VA, CT, MA) Truck always returned empty on the way home so very little wear and tear. It has a big 26 ft. Morgan insulated van body and a Maxon large aluminum platform tuck away liftgate. The reason I am selling is because we no longer need it as it is too big for my needs currently. Though we would love to continue to keep this vehicle, it is tough to see it just sit at our company and also to keep paying insurance and registration fees for a vehicle we do not use does not make sense. Truck has very low miles for its age and use. Tires look like new and no recaps. Truck is very stable on the road especially when loaded. Truck looks good for its year but it does have scratches and dents as it is a work truck. It does have a cracked windshield and a small surface rust spot on pass. door which is not serious please see pics. Also the lift gate step has a broken weld which is easily re welded. We encourage you to come by and check the truck out prior to making a decision. We are not in a hurry to sell the vehicle and would like to get a fair price for it. CAT 7.2L 3126E 6 cylinder turbo Diesel- originally from factory was set at 250 HP, 800 lb./ft. torque (high torque model)
Uprated to 300 HP and 860 lb./ft. torque better highway response.
Replaced #6 injector approximately 1 month ago with remanufactured injector.
Has used Amsoil or Shell Rotella T6 full synthetic motor oil since new.
Eaton Fuller RTF8709B- 9 speed direct drive transmission.
14” 2 plate manual adjustment clutch with clutch brake
