This auction is for the truck only! I This truck was sold but the buyer could not come up with the cash. Please do not bid on this unless your finances are already in place or you have already been approved by a bank for purchase. Up for sale is a very rare 2007 Freightliner Sport Chassis RHL-185 with the famous Mercedes (Detroit Diesel) 330 Hp 1000 ft torque engine. What makes this model of Sport Chassis special is the fact that it has a nice sized garage on it for traveling with a couple of toys such as motorcycles and I"m believing you may be able to load one of the small smart cars on it. The truck includes a set of aluminum foldable ramps which stow away in the storage bays beneath the truck. Not to many of these were made and I believe they don"t make them any longer. The truck has been recently gone through by a authorized freightliner repair center and everything is up to date. All fluids have been changed including transmission with filter. A few sensors were repaired and it also has a new set of brakes. It also had a full alignment and the tech recommended new steer tires due to the tires wear being abnormal due to the truck not being aligned. The tires have plenty of tread so I just kept them on there. I disclosed this info because the new owner may want to consider the recommendation. Overall I would say all the tires still have 75-80% tread left. Also for the sake of disclosure I would like to mention that the AC and heat does work however at time the blower motor works sometimes on and sometimes off. I read on a forum that this is a common issue with older sport chassis trucks as the wires sometime corrode and must be cleaned. I have not tracked this down nor have I put it in the shop to repair. The truck has been very well maintained with all maintenance records to prove it. When the truck was first purchase the engine had a issue around 100k miles due to a untrained mechanic and the engine was damaged leading to the engine being rebuilt at 100k therefore the cab and chassis has around 295k on the dashboard but the engine only 195k. I have a book of receipts showing the rebuild. As you can see the truck has a very beautiful custom paint job. The paint is not in mint condition but looks really good for its age. And many mistake it as a new truck. There are a few rock chips here and there and also if you look close enough you"ll see a few paint patches that has bubbled up. I took it to a paint shop and was told that It"s not rust but rather a chemical reaction to the paint and the aluminum which is common after a few years.. Also the passenger footboard has a bit of damage due to the last owner. It"s not bad but you can tell that it was scraped by something which made a nice indentation and flaked some of the paint off. The truck has a small bit of damage on the back rear passenger side which was my fault. I found myself in a tight area and turned beyond 90 degrees crashing a bumper pull trailer into the side. The truck was so powerful that I didn"t realize it was even happening. I got a quote of around $3500 to fix it but it wasn"t worth it to me. It doesn"t look that bad to but I"ve posted pictures of the damage. The truck is rated to tow 40k pounds and can do it with ease. The most I"ve ever towed was 22k using a 48ft Ultra Comp trailer with 2 classic cars inside. I may consider selling the trailer with the truck as a package deal if your interested. One great feature this truck has is a very expensive air ride air hitch system which can be filled from the inside using a switch on the dash. Includes a 5th wheel and gooseneck extensions for the hitch which can be changed over within 5 minutes if nessary. Only 1 bolt has to be removed. The bed also has a air dump for hooking up to trailers easier. The truck has storage for days. There was also 2 custom air wings installed which really help with wind drag and also keep bugs off the front of your truck. The truck has a 4 camera voyager system of which 2 cameras are installed on the truck...one for the back up camara and one to view the load inside the closed garaged. These leaves you to more cameras to be hooked up for you trailer. There is a hook up at the back of the truck for the camara system. The truck has power hook ups for a trailer also. This is one impressive rig and many people comment about it every where I stop. I"m selling because I"m down grading don"t need this big rig. The interior is still in very good shape with the driver seat showing the most wear and tear but still not bad. The rest of the seats look brand new. I have all of the original manuals and maintained receipts. This will be a no reserve auction so this will be a awesome deal for someone. Feel free to hit me with offers but I"m not going to just give it away. I"ll keep it before that happens. Overall this is a great truck to invest in and is mechanically sound and I"m asking a lot less than anyone for a Sport Chassis let alone a rear Sport Chassis. Fly in and drive home with no problems.
