The DT466 turbo diesel starts easily and runs out well, the Allison automatic shifts smoothly through the gears as it should. The cab is shiny and looks good, inside is clean, seats are good, equipped with cruise, tilt steering wheel, am/fm radio, and split bench (driver air ride). The utility service bed is solid, (14" with 2" tail shelve and the typical scratches and bumps etc. ) has plenty of storage tool bins, curbside easy entry and locking doors , the cab guard for protection / handy material carrier, 4 stable outriggers, pintle hitch receiver, beacon strobe on top, and all functioning running lights. The rims and tires look look good with front rubber being mixed at 40-50% and the rear drive lugs are matching sets at 75-80% ...all good to go.
The Altec boom (s/n 0406BZ4235) functions nicely from both the upper and lower controls. It works at 60" and has a 38" reach, the 2 man rotating bucket has the poly liner and swings around the the tilting / extending jib as it should, the material handling rope is in avg working condition with the hook, some of the guards around the upper controls and jib have typical wear cracks and such but they are there unlike some. The outriggers function well and no leaks. Good look"in truck !
Overall a good solid service utility boom truck here that should provide years of reliable service with proper service and maintenance.
