No Reserve... If your serious about securing a dynamic firefighting platform don"t let this one get away! Just in time for the 2020 wildland fire season, I have an immaculate 1992 Mack Custom Fire Engine with 32,123 original miles & 1676 engine hours, its absolutely loaded with extras. The unit meets the requirement for a Type-1 Structural Fire Engine or a Type-3 Support Water Tender with a couple of modifications. the unit has a 1000 gallon poly water tank. This unit was meticulously maintained by the fire department that developed its very unique build specifications, along with its enhanced firefighting capabilities, it has a very, very short turning radius with its cab forward design. As I identified above it is in exceptional condition, the exterior Red paint is almost flawless, looks like she rolled off the showroom floor. It was just removed from service after being replaced by a new engine, 100% operational!
Air conditioned NFPA 5 person enclosed cab, the pumper body is stainless steel, with aluminum accents made by SIMON LTI in PA, the chassis is a Mack MR from Allentown PA. The main fire pump is a Hale single stage 1500 gpm (Model QSMG150-15L). Its got a color coded pump panel that corresponds to discharges and intakes. If you"ve got a good water supply, she can move some really big water!
It is also equipped with a unique Chelsea PTO driven FMC-BEAN Triplex 3 Piston high pressure fire pump ($5000 feature), it supplies two electric booster reels, one off each side. The pump is blue in the picture, its connected to the PTO via a drive belt, it looks almost like a supercharger. The 70 gpm high pressure system is extremely efficient, it can really maximize the 1000 gallons of on-board water. Each booster reel has 200" of high pressure hose on it with specialized high pressure nozzles. The pistol grip nozzles have a trigger, they also allow the user to go from a straight steam to a fog pattern with the twist of your wrist, pretty cool. Using the high pressure fire pump system allows you to conserve the fire engines onboard water, it also facilitates pump and roll firefighting activities.
The fire pumps can be operated individually or together. (3) large diameter suction intakes, 1-front and 1-on each side, 2.5 suction intakes on both sides also. (3)-rear 2.5” discharges, one out of the hose bed. (2) Driver side 2.5 discharges, (2) Officers side 2.5 discharges, one with a stortz adapter on it, (2)-1 3/4 transverse attack lines above the pump panel. Forward facing “cab mounted” hi-intensity scene lights, 2-telescoping (360 degree) hi-intensity scene lights that recess behind the front light bar. I"ve also got a hose bed cover to protect you from embers.
Easy Mack diesel engine and transmission access with the hydraulic tilt cab, Mack 6 cylinder 300 HP turbocharged engine, 5 speed manual transmission, air conditioning, ward smokeless exhaust system, on-spot tire chains, 22.5” Alcoa polished aluminum rims and tires, pull out side steps to access the 2 hard suction hoses, (2) 10" 6 hard suction hoses, Kenwood VHF radio, Federal electronic siren with dual speakers, full emergency lighting, The 3 rear facing jump seats and the officers seat are designed to receive an airpack. The drivers seat is a Bostrom adjustable air ride.
With no doubt, this is one of the nicest NFPA approved 1992 Fire Engine on the market. I"ve added the ($ costs) of some of the the accessories included in the sale, this is a really, really good purchase at my buy it now price.
I have all of the apparatus manuals and maintenance records, the unit has a current Dec 2020 safety inspection from Pennsylvania. This unit is ready to go back into municipal service, perform contract work or be used for personal property protection during wildfire season. I reserve the right to terminate the auction early with a full price $14,999 offer. Check my fire apparatus feedback on ebay, bid with absolute confidence!
I will store the vehicle up to 60 days with full payment for the new owner to arrange transport. I would also be willing to pick up the new owner at the airport in Richmond VA if your driving her home. I drove her home 250 miles, she drove like a dream. I might consider trading this unit for a Type-5 or 6, 4x4 brush truck in similar condition.
