Offered for sale is a very rare 1913 White Motor Truck. It is in exceptional original, preserved condition! This truck has been in storage since the late 1960’s, and it is believed to have been originally a police wagon for the St. Paul Minnesota Police department, that was later converted to a hose car for the St. Paul Minn. Fire Department in 1916. Brakes are free and functional, engine spins free and the transmission and clutch operate and shifts well. ( we have not made any attempt to run the engine ) The frame and other sheet metal on the truck are very straight and solid. The original brass honeycomb radiator is also in amazing condition. The wood and wheels are also very solid and in excellent shape with no apparent rot. The headlamps are in excellent shape , however one lens is missing. The original builders plate is missing and we have tried to find any stamped chassis number. We have been told that White did not stamp their frames until the early 1920"s. There is an engine number dating from 1916, and was likely installed during its rebuild for the Fire Department. The truck is being sold on a bill of sale only.
This is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire an almost impossible find. Call or email with questions. 712-944-4900.
