1931 Ahrens Fox Model V. From Elmwood place Ohio. Truck was in a barn and sat outside for many years. Body is really rusty, Engine is a Hercules 6 cyl. with 2 heads. It is missing the fuel pump, and distributor parts, and probably more I didnt notice.. The truck rolls, so it loads easy. The Windshield is broken. The upper hood hinges are froze, the lowers work, The rear body is solid but rusty, The seat base and cowl has holes rusted through. It has some fittings and the AF pump gauges. I doubt the pump turns, and did not try. I did Clear coat one side and you can see red paint. The rust has caused heavy pitting in the metal. The inside of the cylinder walls on the engine are rusty. I pulled the heads and inspected it. The radiator is intact, no major damage that I can see, some fins need straightened probably needs cleaned. When I took it out of the truck it still had some antifreeze in it. I did remove it for now. The tires are old, need replaced. I also have the front bumper assembly, but it is missing the brackets that hold it to the frame. Comes with part of the extension Ladder, looks like the inner part. has 1 hard suction hose tray. 2 hoses.
The truck will need a LOT of work, if you wanted to restore it. I had intentions of doing a engine swap for now and just clear coating it to make it function. my big problem looks to be time. I dont have much of it ! This would make a cool rat Rod project, and not hard to do. Everything is easy to get to. Email me with questions if needed. I have a clear Ohio Title.
