1941 KS6 International Firetruck 1 1/2 - 2 ton

Truck last saw service in small town Flensberg MN.
This is a very nice original 1 1/2 - 2 ton that is ready for restoration or ready to go to work. The patina alone is very nice on this truck.
The heavy duty K6 and larger use a center hinged butterfly hood rather than the rear hinged hood of the smaller trucks.
K6 and K7 share the same hood, fenders, and grill and use the smaller Blue Diamond engines.
The driver window and windshield have cracks but are intact.
Engine: International Harvester, valve-in-head type; 6-cylinder (replaceable cylinders); 3%-in. bore x 4%-in. stroke; 241.54 cu.-in. displacement. A.M.A. rating, 27.3 h.p.; maximum brake h.p., 84 at 3,200 r.p.m. Maximum torque, 175.5 lb.-ft. at 800 r.p.m. Three- point, rubber-cushioned mounting. Four steel-backed, replaceable-shell main bearings. Total projected main bearing area, 14.169 sq. in. Exhaust-valve seat inserts. Lubrication: Engine pressure feed to all main, connecting-rod, piston-pin, camshaft, and rocker-arm shaft bearings. Gear-type, gear-driven oil pump. Oil capacity, 7% qt.
Cooling System: Centrifugal pump circulation, thermostat control, fin-and tube-type radiator. Pump driven by V-type fan belt. Capacity, 18% qt.
Generator: 6-volt, belt-driven.
Starting Motor: 6-volt, 4-pole type.
Carburetor: Downdraft type. Oil-bath-type air cleaner.
Fuel System: Mechanical fuel pump driven from camshaft. Underseat fuel tank of 21-gal. capacity. Gasoline filter.
