1949 F8 Ford Fire Truck. It has the big Mercury flat head V8 and runs really well. I have done the following; removed and professionally cleaned gas tank, new gas line, carb removed and professionally rebuilt and cleaned, fuel pump removed and professionally rebuilt, generator rebuilt by professional, new belts, new water pump on left side also have the pump for the right but does not need to be changed. Turn signals installed but not yet wired, two new rear dually tires, brake booster is new and master cylinder new with a good solid brake peddle. The interior of the truck is really nice with a working heater. The seat is original and one of the nicest I have had. All lights and siren work. The tires that have not been replaced hold air but are weathered and cracked. There is NO rust in this cab as the truck came out of the mid west. Have not tried to pump so selling as a non working pump. The fire truck back end was done by a company called Flour City out of Minneapolis MN.The paint is not perfect but does look good (not perfect) when wheeled out. this truck does have a factory two speed reared however I do not know how to shift and have not tried too. This truck would make a really cool car hauler or old farm truck or keep as a fire truck for parades and musters. Lots of potential with this truck.
