Up for auction/sale is a nice example of a mostly original 1950 GMC 300 Fire Truck with 248 i6. This vehicle was lightly used as an advertising piece for a local company and taken to a few car shows. The company is no longer in need of this type of advertising so is the reason for the sale. Truck starts right up every time and shifts normal and runs great for age. Converted to 12v, new brake master cylinder. Converted into parade vehicle as indicated by the passenger bench seat in hose bed. All lights and sirens work. Original owners manual as well as some other manuals included. Rear tires (x4) are nearly new with 95+% tread. Front tires in good shape with 80%+ tread. Tires don"t lose air.
The Bad: Have not been able to shift the 2 speed axle. Rust spots around wheel humps (see pictures/does not go through metal). Top Speed 40 MPH. Pump and Tank removed for bench seat in back. Occasional free spin of starter but always catches and starts. Windshield seals leak (not driven in rain rather found out by washing).
