** ANTIQUE GRUMMAN OLSEN 1952 STEP VAN CAB OVER KURBSIDE DELIVERY METRO TRUCK **
Today I offer up for sale my 1952 CHEVROLET GRUMMAN OLSEN KURBSIDE DELIVER VAN K Model. This is Offered in Good Condition, Clear Title, Original Keys. Can be Shipped or Local Pick-up. I purchased this 3 years ago from a gentleman in Iowa. The Van upon its arrival to my place it Ran Nicely but was run from an external gas tank. The Original Tank is there but needs to be cleaned. I have Done nothing to it since I have owned it for the exception of cleaning the junk out of it. This is a Rare and Very Charismatic Van, Turns lots of heads from passersby. This would make a Great Conversion to a Mini RV which was my original intention, but time is not on my side with family and running my business.
Engine is inline 6, runs, brakes, rolls and steers fine. No Battery. Title Odometer Mileage shows 95,979 but will double check and update if different. I have not driven it since I"ve owned it (only ran the engine upon it arrival), so it hasn"t seen the road 2014. Everything will need to be gone over to make road worthy. From the homework I"ve done on this if you where to do a chassis swap, this Grumman Body Fits nearly exact to a Chevy S10 Extended Cab. Rutledge Wood from television show Top Gear owns and Restored a 1949 Grumman (similar specs) and used a Chevy Silverado Pick up for his Swap. (google Rutledge Wood Grumman Van to see the potential for this Van).
The interior is complete, Gauges are good. Original Seat, Heater. The Van has been gutted since I purchased it, (ie, removed paneling, waspnests. .) so its Pretty much an empty box ready for a make over. Doors Slide and Open, No evidence of any leaks, seams are good, Over all a very solid vehicle.
According to the previous owner this van was originally a Bread Van in Iowa and has never left the state until I purchased it, so its life has been spent in a dry climate. The Van has Very Good Bones, frame is straight, looks to be rust free. Body is nice condition, All Aluminum (so No Rust), The only Body damage is the Front Right Fender has a Dent which I was told can easily be pulled out. Doors open fine, Lock & Latches need Lubing... floors are solid. Passenger triangle side glass is Broken, the rest of the windows are fine but all have perimeter milky edges.
This Van All Original, as Found Condition. Please look over the photos as they are always a VERY Big part of the Description. I can Help Arrange Shipping but Buyer is Responsible for shipping costs. If you would like to see it Locally or need more pictures just send a email to arrange. Any questions just ask.
