Excellent condition, Professionally maintained throughout it;s life. Full service records, and service manuals. Stored indoors it"s entire life. Unrestored, well maintained original condition. Original gold leaf lettering and pinstripeing on cab and doors.
1953 American LaFrance 700 series pumper. The truck is in excellent shape as it has been kept indoors it"s entire life and was cared for by the fire department. I have the complete mileage logs, service records and service manuals. The truck has 18,000 miles and had a new motor installed at 6340 miles. Everything that can be serviced was serviced by the fire department, including the entire drive train, rolling chassis, pump, valves, gauges, wheel bearings, muffler, brakes, tires, etc.
I worked with the former owners to obtain a title and licence plates, so the truck can be transfered and titled anywhere. This was a lot of work, and makes the truck more valuable. If you haven"t ever tried to title a vehecile that never had one, you wouldn"t believe how difficult it was, including mechanical inspections of road worthyness.
These are some videos i took with a phone, before putting it in the shed.
It is really smooth running and cool looking.
The sirens, lights and accessories alone are worth thousands of dollars, as these are in excellent original condition.
This is a very unique truck to find in this condition. It can be used as is or converted to a mobile kitchen/food truck, or a motorcycle hauler, or a camper mobile home conversion project.
I really want to get this truck into the hands of a collector who will appreciate it.
Ladies, your man will love you forever if you get him this truck. Every guy wants his own fire truck. This one is ready to drive away, not a bunch of work.
