Up for sale is a very cool piece of working history of the Olympic peninsula. Quilcene Fire District water truck with 52316 original miles and a big ol water tank on the back.
I bought it from the second owner last year who ran a logging business and used it for a water truck at slash burns.
Since owning it I have installed a brand new fuel tank, new fuel line, filter, main fan belt and seat cover. It starts right ups and drives.
It has an exhaust leak and the brakes don"t work well (haven"t looked into why. Ebrake works good. I drove it home) Very cool original condition project with minimal rust and lots of flare. According to the vin it was built in San Jose and has a 272 v8 with a 2 barrel carb. Clear title in my name.
