| “This Viking is a factory V8 equipped, 16,000 GVW survivor. It has not been painted and all running gear, power train and body parts appear to be original. It is clean and rust free, which is very uncommon. It runs, drives, brakes and steers properly for its vintage; that is to say that this might have been the vehicle that first indicated the need for power steering! It has a four speed transmission and a two speed axle. The cab is identical to the '59 Apache half ton, I am told. My plan was to install a sloped, car carrier deck, but other priorities have arisen. I have seen dozens of these trucks in every possible configuration and this is the best original body I have come across. Rubber is exceptionally good. Starts very quickly, even though the Edelbrock 4 barrel carb hasn't been fine tuned.” |
