1960 351 Peterbilt Needlenose 400 cummins with jakes, supposed to have 660 horse power and it feels like it when you drive it. I haven"t owned the truck long and I"m going off talking to the mechanic and the guy who sold it to me they were the ones that built it. Out of frame rebuild last year little over 20,000 miles ago Pittsburgh power Ceramic and Teflon cylinder kit, new pistons, new cam, new bearings, new head, new turbo, new tru flo 750 , new auto fan, new bottom radiator but the top tank is older and will need replaced at some point. 18 speed 16718-b # 542086619 rebuilt same time as motor. new clutch tt-100925-82H new flywheel tt-3071535. rear ends are supposed to be sshd 4.33 rebuilt also same time. This truck came original with the butterfly hood but has been converted and we think this is a hood off of a 68ish 358. the cab as you noticed has the corvette dash and the door handles are down low. We think the cab is about a 78ish 359, it is loaded with chrome gauges and the fuel and the rear driver temp are the only 2 not working at the moment. Air wipers are gone and some electric intermittent wipers are way better. Cab seems to leak a little in the hard rain, Tillamook got 35 inches of rain in December!!! hasn"t been too bad yet, just a drip here and there, but will need to be addressed soon. This is my first log truck and I fell in love with it, had to have it, just bought it in September 2015 and maybe got in a little over my head. I"ve been dump trucking for a lot of years but I wanted to haul logs and I wanted to haul them in style. Every light on the truck is led and I"ve been told I look like a Cool Christmas coming at you. I have hauled 100 loads with this old Pete and I think that is enough for me. The truck had all brand new outboard brakes and drums when I bought it, and I just put all new outboard shoes and drums on the trailer, has PNT electric scales that work good. All tires 24.5 on the truck are virgin 60% with newer aluminum wheels. Trailer wheels are a little older steel wheels on the inside all retreads on trailer. Chrome stacks look and sound great, Jake sounds really cool on this Pete. I am pretty new to this but one of my best friends has owned 88 Peterbilts and we looked long and hard for this gem and I know it is a solid truck. I was told that the truck and the trailer were bought together and I am supposed to be the third owner. the air horns didn"t work when I bought it and I have not addressed them and they do not work. I am selling this truck AS IS with no written or implied warranty and I can not guarantee any of the parts or upgrades. you are welcome to inspect with a mechanic before you buy though. All sales will be final and I will help get the truck to you at totally your cost. This truck runs strong and has an AWESOME look and a clear Oregon 1960 title, the original VIN is in place and the 3/8 steel frame is stamped. If you only want the truck and I keep the trailer, bunks, headache rack and scales I will change the buy it now to $ 80k
