Up for auction is a fully functional 1965 american lafrance pioneer fire truck. This truck was taken out of service in June of 2016 from a small rural fire dept in northern IN. Truck holds water and pump works I dont know the specifics of pump size tank size. Motor is a Chrysler Industrial 440 cu inch and runs like a top. Starts right up and idles as sweet as can be and runs down the road excellent. Trans is a 5 speed with 1st gear being very low and all the way to right and up with rev below it. Has new rims, tires, chrome wheel simulaters. Everything is in working order. Stops great also. Electronic siren in light bar doesnt sound the greatest I believe to be a ground problem. Has both hose reels with one nozzle on one side only. Items that come with the truck are the ladder with attic folding ladder, hard suction, axes on cab, Pike pole does not come with. Truck was painted one time during its fire fighting. Only issue with truck is drivers side rear compartment door was rubbed by a fuel pump guard pole by one of the firefighters. Truck sold as is where is and can be driven anywhere I drove it home from an hour away and had no problems. Had in 2 fourth of July parades with no issues. Can be used as a fire truck or parade truck or just have fun. gold leaf lettering is on top of the clear coat so can be taken right off without affecting the paint.Any questions feel free to ask. I reserve the right to end the auction early if truck sells locally. Thanks for looking and bidding.
The ladder rack on the top with big ladder has been removed and is not included in the auction.
