You are bidding on a very nice 1965 Chevy C-60 Fire Truck. This truck only has 3,498 actual miles on it. It has a Fransville fire body with a 750 gallon water tank. It is powered by a High Torque 348 Chevy Big Block that starts and runs smoothly. It has an excellent interior. There is no rust on this truck, all lights and the siren are in working order. Mechanically the truck is sound, the only item that needs attention is a rear seal leak that sometimes causes the left rear drum to drag if parked for awhile. The truck is equipped with a Barton-American Fire pump. Included is the 6 suction filler hose and strainer as well as the 2 hose, reel and nozzles, all in working order. The pump heater was left with water in the expansion chamber which has been now been brazed and repaired. This truck would make an excellent private ranch or farm control burn, fire, food plot water truck as I used it for. With the rare Franksville fire body it provides two spacious sides for graphics and billboards which would make it an excellent advertising truck for your business. There are many uses, such as, a commercial smoker, Fire House BBQ, Fire House Subs. .you get the idea. I have a neighbor who does food service for outdoor events and festivals, he has seen a similar truck done up as a smoker, and the guy had lines of people waiting with a huge crowd gathered around admiring the truck.
