You know you need this! It"s a 1965 Ford F700 with a Holmes 525 Medium Duty Tow Truck Wrecker body. I believe the Holmes 525 is rated at 12 tons. It has twin winches that are mechanically operated off of the PTO. I was going to fix this up but never quite got around to it. This was originally owned by a local utility and was their fleet tow truck. I believe the mileage is correct. The engine is the nearly indestructible Ford 300 CID straight six. Does it run? Sad to admit but I never tried. I have a valid Missouri salvage title. The reason for a salvage title? It was stored in a back yard of a home and the police had it towed as a derelict vehicle. The towing company applied for and received a salvage title and then the title was transferred into my name. As you can see the truck has a fair amount of rust. But what would you expect from a 54 year old truck?
This beauty is located in St. Louis about 4 miles south of the airport. If you fly in I will be more than happy to pick you up at the airport and then you can push it home. But seriously folks, you"re gonna have to tow it or trailer it. You are responsible removing it. It"s located directly off of a major interstate.
