Here is a very sweet GMC F model owned by the Army Corp of Engineers, those are original miles, the odometer has not rolled over.

In 1960 the GMC Aluminum Tilt-Cab truck became the F-model in 7000 to 9500 series. They could be ordered with GMC"s Gas Twin-Six V-12 engine, or Detroit Diesel 71 series Diesel Engines. Any other make of Diesel engine could be found between the frame rails too. It could also be had with a sleeper that was 75 long X 30 deep, but it was only 22 deep behind the driver. And you could also get a storage compartment below the sleeper. The DFW had tandem rear axles

| “Army Corps of Engineers, New Mexico Truck with 14,984 original miles, the odometer has not rolled over. Truck was started a couple months ago, it ran great, the radiator needs repair and it will need some new batteries. The truck will need some attention to be put back into full time service, though I don't think it would be much. There is a gasoline powered four cylinder engine on the back that was used to heat the tar and run the tar equipment, it has not been started in years, however it is not seized up and should run with minimum work. The driver's door window is broken. The truck needs a good cleaning, all the fluids changed, and will need misc. tinkering for sure.” |
