Ford Oren Pumper
This nice piece of apparatus is a 1966 Ford Oren pumper manufactured for release in 1968. It has a 750 gpm pump and a 500 gallon tank. The name Oren has always brought forth the image of those rugged yet attractive looking rigs that were their custom jobs. The origins of Oren go back to 1917.
In the mid-1930’s, the company began producing fire apparatus under the Roanoke Welding and Equipment Co. name. This soon gave way to the name Oren in the late 1930’s.
Truck was running when parked a few years ago when it was driven to its current location, it has been stored outside. 391 engine. The truck was manufactured at Louisville truck plant then sent to Oren.
