This is a 1969 Cushman 3 wheeled Trucker Ice Cream Cart. It has a 2 cylinder, 4stroke, OMC air cooled engine and a 3 speed manual transmission with reverse. (3 on the tree) It uses regular unleaded gas. It was recently serviced.
It starts right up, runs and drives great. It will operate at 30-35 mph no problem, and will go up to 45mph.
This is a custom, purpose built ice cream truck. It is not a retired meter maid or golf truckster with a freezer mounted to it.
It has 4 cold plates in the freezer that are charged by a 110v compressor. You plug it overnight and you are ready to go the next day.
It also has a separate dry ice bin that is connected internally,that you can use to boost or extend the freezers duration.
Dry ice is available wholesale for about $1/lb or less. The freezer box is approx 36W x 30L x 30H and very well insulated.
It will hold ~24 boxes of product, depending on the items.
You can also easily add an inverter or use a small generator for extended events.
It has a Nichols Electronics Digital II music box that plays 8 different tunes through a pair of Insignia speakers, and 3 antique style brass bells.
This was used at parades, fairs, festivals, beaches, parks, picnics and for catered events.
It never fails to draw a crowd and bring a smile to the face of those that see it.
The profit on novelty ice cream is excellent and the nature of the truck allows for very low overhead.
This unit is a money maker!
It is currently registered as an antique motorcycle. It also passed the NH Dep. of Health inspection. Inspection report is available to review.
It was fully restored 5 yrs ago by one of its previous owners. It runs and drives very well.
It comes with 2 awnings. One is multi colored, orange, red, purple, the other is red and white.
Also included in the sale is a coffin freezer for storing inventory. The freezer dimensions are 48long x 28deep x 36 tall.
This is included in the sale at no charge, and is not being sold separately, however it must go with the truckster at the time of the sale.
