1969 Transtar 400 with only 217,000 miles. Came from Oregon, was a fire truck most of its life. 318 Detroit Diesel with Jake brake, 5 speed with 4 speed auxiliary, (both are overdrive)., Eaton 38,000lb. rears, 6.21 ratio, truck should run about 65 mph. This truck runs great, doesn"t smoke,(it"s running in photographs), shifts fine no driveline noises, Jake Brake works, rear bushings look new, new brake linings all around, engine seems to have been recently overhauled,(runs great), radiator shutters work, gauges all work, lights work, has PTO, new batteries, power steering works great, has no rust anywhere and no dents at all! Has 10.00x22 tires with old original aluminum rims. It would be easier to list only what the truck needs...one windshield and tires. We where going to install a 13" dump because it has a PTO but have decided to use another truck. I have the line setting ticket. Very unusual truck in great condition that doesn"t need much to make a work truck or restoration.
