Selling my 1972 Ford Firetruck Pumper. Truck runs and drives PERFECT, has clear OK title and current tags and insurance. It has 22,xxx original miles, Verifed by the Captain of the Station who last had it in service, he confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with the unit, It was just replaced by a newer rig. It has The largest gas engine ever produced by Ford at 534ci and a 5 speed FULLY SYNCHRONIZED trans, which makes it super easy to drive, just clutch and shift like any manual car. The tires are in great shape all around and the steers are like new. It has a Hale 1000gpm pump, I"m not sure what size tank, probably 500-1000. It has a turret for a water cannon behind the cab, but the cannon was removed before auction, a long with just about all of the other equipment, only things left are a few suction lines shown on the driver"s side of the truck. I will be trying to contact the last department to see if I could get some of what was stripped from it, but slim chance of getting any of it back... The siren and radio have been removed but the light bar and rear wig wag flashers still work, the body is in great shape with very little if any rust, it has a rare gull wing style hood for easy access to the engine bay without tilting the whole hood forward. The interior is in excellent shape. Overall this truck is in great shape and would be great for a collection, parades, business advertising etc. I would not be scared to hop in and drive cross country in it. Buyer will have to arrange for pickup or shipping, I have included a picture of the actual weight of the truck for shipping purposes. I have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction at any time should it sell.
