1973 Ford C750 Ward LaFrance fire truck.This truck first saw service at Hamilton AFB in California, and it’s last tour of military duty at an AFB outside of Kansas City. I purchased it from a private owner in 2014 and began the restoration. The vehicle runs great, and was just recently checked out by a certified mechanic. The truck has a Ford 391CID gas engine and automatic transmission. The mileage shows 16,720 and is believed to be original miles due to its service life (easy duty). I have not tried to run the pump, the 300 gallon water tank does not leak. MANY hours have been put into the restoration of this rare (at this point) truck as far as paint, replacing exterior and compartment lights, spot lights (front and rear), and a lot of minor details. As far as anything the truck needs, a headliner (didn’t have one when I got it, and was not a priority). I would recommend new tires as the tread is good, but I don’t know how old they are. The vehicle is being sold “as is-where is” with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for transportation, and I would recommend having the truck transported by trailer as just as soon as I said the truck would make the trip, something would come up (just my luck). Emergency equipment items NOT included in the sale are: beacon, siren/speaker, radio/antenna, ladder, fire extinguisher/brackets, pike pole, but may be purchased separately after the sale if desired. Miscellaneous Items that ARE included: All spanner wrenches, fire hose (Booster line, 1.5 & 2.5 inch), fire ax’s (new), hard suction hose (mounted on the drivers side), other emergency lighting that is original equipment. Payment to be made via personal/certified check (must clear before the vehicle is released) or cash at time of pick-up. $500.00 deposit via PayPal required at time of sale. A number of people have asked me why I’m selling such a cool/great truck, my answer: 2020. NO, I cannot take less than $3800 (especially after e-bay/PayPal fees).
